The design for Obra Real Estate was driven by two goals: clarity and connection. We wanted to present Obra as a refined, modern real estate brand that’s deeply embedded in the local fabric of Chicago. The visual approach blends sharp edges and structured spacing with subtle softness in imagery and typography, striking a balance between professionalism and approachability. Large-scale photography of iconic Chicago skylines and neighbourhood scenes sets a distinctive tone from the moment visitors land on the homepage. We incorporated generous white space to allow content to breathe, giving every section a clean, uncluttered feel. The overall effect is a digital space that feels calm, confident, and carefully considered—just like Obra’s service philosophy.
Functionality and User Experience
User experience was planned from the ground up with ease of navigation in mind. The main menu provides a simple path through the site’s core pages, while each individual page guides the visitor with logical progression—from introductory content to calls-to-action. The addition of two custom pages allowed us to highlight both Obra’s services and neighbourhood expertise in greater detail, supporting user discovery and search engine indexing alike. The interactive map plugin was a key feature designed to encourage engagement: rather than reading long lists or dense blocks of text, users can visually explore areas of Chicago they’re interested in. On mobile, the site remains just as intuitive, with touch-optimised interactions and fast loading speeds that support browsing on the go.
