Project Overview

The Client

786Arts is the artistic practice of Alison Kysia, a Muslim woman artist creating abstract Islamic sculpture and socially engaged art rooted in faith, identity and community. Inspired by clay, cosmology and Islamic aesthetics, her work creates space for reflection, remembrance, healing and meaningful connection.

The Challenge

786Arts needed an online presence that gave the artwork the same space, consideration and impact it would receive in a physical gallery. The website also needed a clearer structure for collections, the artist’s story and ongoing projects, while remaining practical for Alison to update independently as her body of work evolves.

Our Approach

Visuable Packages

We combined website and brand identity design to create a cohesive digital experience centred around the artwork:

The Full Squarespace Website package supports a high-end, multi-page presence with custom layouts, mobile optimisation, technical SEO foundations and client training, while Essential Brand Identity Design creates a refined visual system through logo development, typography, colour and brand guidelines.

What We Delivered

Curated gallery-inspired website: We created a refined, minimalist Squarespace experience that gives the artwork room to make an impact and encourages visitors to explore at their own pace.

High-impact visual layouts: Large-scale imagery and carefully considered spacing place Alison’s sculptures and community projects at the heart of the experience.

Refined brand identity: A considered logo system, typography and colour palette create a consistent visual language that complements the artwork rather than competing with it.

Clear content structure: Dedicated areas for Alison’s story, portfolio, collections, workshops and projects make it easier for visitors to understand the breadth and meaning of her practice.

Responsive Squarespace design: The website was designed to create a polished experience across desktop, tablet and mobile while giving 786Arts an accessible platform for future updates.

Squarespace training and ongoing support: Personalised training empowers Alison to manage and update the website independently, with Review & Restyle and hourly design support available as the practice continues to grow.

Creative Execution

Impact and Creativity

The creative direction takes inspiration from the calm, considered experience of moving through a contemporary art gallery. Generous space and impactful imagery allow individual artworks to command attention without unnecessary visual distractions. The minimalist approach gives each piece room to breathe while creating a sense of rhythm as visitors move through the website. Small supporting details add context without taking focus away from the art. The result is a digital environment that feels intentional, contemplative and closely connected to Alison’s artistic practice.

Functionality and User Experience

The website balances visual impact with a clear and intuitive structure. Visitors can move easily between Alison’s story, portfolio, collections, workshops and community projects, creating multiple pathways into her work. Clear navigation keeps the experience simple, while image-led layouts encourage deeper exploration. Responsive styling carries the gallery-inspired experience across different screen sizes. Behind the scenes, Squarespace gives Alison a practical way to add new work and keep the website evolving alongside her practice.

Branding and Storytelling

The visual identity was designed to support the meaning already embedded within 786Arts. The name itself references 786 as a numeric symbol of Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem, connecting the practice to remembrance, creation and the Divine. Rather than overpowering this story, the branding creates a refined framework around it. Typography, colour and visual styling work together to create consistency across the digital experience. This allows Alison’s sculptures, faith, community work and personal perspective to remain central to the story.

Execution and Design Excellence

Every design decision serves a clear purpose: showcase the artwork, communicate its meaning and make exploration effortless. The website pairs clean typography with generous layouts and strong imagery to create a sophisticated gallery feel. Content is organised into distinct sections without making the experience feel rigid or overly structured. The brand identity and website work together as one cohesive visual system, strengthening recognition while allowing individual collections to retain their character. Just as importantly, the Squarespace build gives Alison greater control over her digital presence, creating a website that can grow alongside new artworks, exhibitions and community projects.

Summary

The new 786Arts website turns an online portfolio into a considered digital gallery that reflects the depth and intention behind Alison Kysia’s practice. A refined brand identity and minimalist Squarespace design create space for the artwork and its stories to lead, while clearer navigation makes the wider practice easier to discover. The result is a distinctive, manageable online presence designed to support 786Arts as its collections, projects and community continue to grow.
