Q&A with Philippa
What inspired you to start your business?
It wasn’t a quick decision! I’ve spent years knowing how I could support brands better - How I could help to bring customer knowledge into their business and make it relevant for them. I know the ins and outs of a business. I know how customer knowledge should and shouldn’t be used. I know how to build this capability within an organization. I realized that my time had come to start to share this knowledge and to help those businesses who don’t feel ready to embrace the customer (by that I mean don’t know how) to have the tools and the support they need.
What is unique about your business/approach that you would like everyone to know about?
This is a business which has knowledge and experience from both sides of the fence – agency and client-side. This is scarce within the industry. It means that we can harness our experience to the maximum – build powerful customer work whilst be acknowledging those teams who will need to use this knowledge within an organization, every day. Our work is targeted, realistic and fit for purpose for a commercially driven organization which happens to want to connect better with their customer
What are you currently working on or towards?
I’m currently working on a project with a Global Digital Community whose mission is to develop a customer-centric engagement program. It’s a piece of work that requires considerable understanding of the wants and needs of the customer at all stages of the customer on-boarding journey. It’s fascinating and a field which is relatively new to me although digital and virtual businesses and communities is where it’s at in the future
What’s your advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Don’t procrastinate! If you feel positively motivated to take control of your life and set up a new business, then do it. There are lots to learn and every day requires grit determination and self-belief, but it’s worth it. Feel the fear and do it anyway
Who's been some of the mentors/people instrumental to your success?
Over the years I’ve worked with and for some inspirational people. They’ve all brought their own distinct way of doing something. Key is to identify what this is and to learn from it. Mentors and inspirational people come in very different guises, the trick is to recognize it and to tap into the knowledge and experience they can bring.
Why did you choose to “get creative” with us?
I saw a website I loved and followed the trail. Simple as that. I was looking for something slightly different that would make my business stand out.
What responses or results have you received from your new brand images/website?
Everyone seems to love my website! They really like the aesthetic in particular. For my area of expertise, it has something that little bit different.

Now that your new visual brand identity/website is launched... what's next for you?
I need to get stuck in! Now that my website is live I can make another leap forward. It’s another foundation stone for my business. I’m now ready to take my clients to the next level and to help them get closer to their customer. There’s no better time than to start now
Is there any last bit of advice you’d like to share?
Success does not choose sides. It is not for other people. It’s in our mindset and our behaviour. If you think that you have something to offer, believe that you can and take a step towards that success. Know about who you are and what your business represents to you and to your clients. Build on that knowledge and then call Lidia!
