Right in line with that spirit: here are my Top 6 Apps to help you run your business and get back time and energy!
Trello is a task and project management app that gives you a visual overview of what’s being worked on and who’s working on it, making it perfect for running your business in general but especially for keeping track of clients, projects and your team, all in one easy to access place.
At Visuable, we’ve been using Trello from day one and can’t imagine our life without it. We have a board for everything – from marketing strategy and project management, through general ‘to-dos’ to individual boards for each member of our remote team to organise their work and tasks.

It’s more amazing and exciting than you think – especially if you’re a bit OCD and run your entire business on to-do lists, like we do. We keep each other updated on upcoming due dates through mentions feature and chat and collaborate within cards to keep relevant conversations in one place. Trello allows us to stay productive and know exactly what needs to be done, when and by who.

Prior to Slack, the communications amongst our team were becoming increasingly cluttered and lost in our email inboxes as we navigated through long threads of email correspondence between each other!
With slack, we can share files easily, message individual team members 1:1 or collaborate with the entire team using common channels. We have different channel for our creative and marketing team to ensure we keep conversations relevant between the right people.

Word Swag is a game-changing graphic design mobile app that enabled non-designers to create amazing looking social media graphics on the fly, and with ease.
Although we are a team of designers, we love to use Word Swag as it’s so easy to use on the go, when accessing a full creative design suite would just not be possible! If we need to make a quick social media update on the fly, all we need to do is pick a nice photo, (we like to use our own photos but Word Swag has a library of 590,000 free images to pull from if you don’t have your own), choose text style and colour, type in the update/quote/message and voila – your modern, clean looking social media update is ready! We like to add our own logo too to personalise our content (we keep a transparent background version in our phone photo gallery for easy access).
If you are as much of a fan of Instagram stories as we are, you are going to love this App! Unfold is our go-to for beautifully clean looking Instagram story design. It offers 25 templates for you choose from and create photo or text based stories that fit the aesthetic of your business without having to rely on Instagrams’ limited design features. Buffer is one of the best, reasonably priced social media scheduling tools on the market right now. No longer do we have to create and share our social media updates manually every single day! With Buffer, we plan and schedule a full month of social media content all in one day and personalise our scheduled times to go out when our audience is most active (based on analytics that we gathered over the years).
The mobile app for Buffer is just brilliant! Our favourite feature is the Instagram feed preview which allows us to see how our feed will look in advance of our content being released. This is a game changer for a visually focused company like ours! We can now ensure that our feed looks great and on brand at all times. Buffer analytics feature allows us to see our post stats for each platform within the app itself which is really handy for knowing how our content is performing so that we can learn and adapt our strategy as we go along.

Squarespace has a suite of mobile apps to help monitor websites on the go. We love the analytics app as it allows us to monitor business insights and key metrics such as our website traffic, visitor activity and sales directly from our phones. The app is super easy to navigate, uncluttered and helps us understand where our visitors are from and which content is most popular within our site visitors.
